Alberta votes today

Went in on Thursday to an advanced poll. Quick and painless. Was held in a church basement, went in, got the ballots which where in order and colour coded. Went to the side room with the cardboard “booths” set up. They had chairs, which was different, must be arduous to make 10 selections. Did my thing, and then deposited in the colour coded boxes. In and out in less than 10 minutes.

Now my observations. I was the youngest one in there, and I’m 31. Lots of old farts taking their sweet ass time to read every ballot and get offended. I saw lots of sour faces when I walked by them. I was also by far the quickest in the room. The Filipino woman I sat next to seemingly checked off one ballot in the time it took me to do my ten. I don’t know if it was her first time reading or what. Same for all the other people, just slow. Probably felt like they were the resistance or some shit.

Anyways that’s my two cents. I don’t expect much of anything tonight. Thinking it will end up 70-30 in favour of the status quo.

Old people and advanced polls are like peanut butter and jelly.

They’re meant to accommodate working people who can’t make election day, yet bring out retired boomers in droves that think if they vote early it means more.

Not sure how it’ll turn out but I find it hard believing they get enough votes to separate.

The elbows up boomers really bought the bullshit that happened during Trump's second election and during COVID where elections couldn't be counted on the same day they happened because of mail in ballots so they think by voting early they're helping to ensure the vote count happens on time. They also think long line ups are the reason why minorities don't vote (it's what Democrats told them). In reality, countries that don't cheat their elections can easily count everything the same day the election happens.

Its a nothingburger. It's not a referendum, it's a vote on whether a referendum should be considered.

Of course, the government will be the ones undertaking that action if 'Option 2' wins, so my guess that they will come to the conclusion that it's not feasible.

By that time, the NDP will have retaken Alberta and they will seek to persecute separatists in the same manner that the feds persecuted the Convoy people.

Depends on who counts the votes and if there is any funny business.

I would say rural area will support this vote more than the pinko elbows up crowd in the larger cities.

Real Albertans aka those born and bred in Alberta are more likely to vote to leave but with all the leftists that moved to Alberta and all the third world leeches will vote elbows up along with selfish boomers.

I would predicts 30-35% vote to have an actual vote to leave.

If we would of had internet in mid 80's Alberta would of left then when PET brought in NEP. This vote is 42 years too late. Immigration from third world and other parts of Canada are ruining Alberta along with the feds.
