11 min video briefly goes through much of what is wrong with how the native money is handled.
This video should be normie friendly. The Alberta Republic licence plate on the wall may turn some elbozos off but the more extreme ones don't respond to logic or truth, so a reasoned argument would never work on them in the first place.
A reasonable person would not try to establish a new fund or funding structure without figuring out what the problem is with the current structure and what actions are actually required to address that.
Here are the facts:
- Canadian tax payers currently pay $41 billion a year of federal money directly to the natives
- The $41 billion above does not include provincial and municipal money. It also does not include non-native specific spending which they also use such as healthcare.
- The above also excludes economic damage to the economy from their protests and crime.
- Under Trudeau, the spending quadrupled. See: National Post Article on Federal Native Spending
- Almost immediately after taking over, Trudeau removed oversight powers the Harper government had put in which withheld money from tribes who could not show where it was going.
- Until this very day, even as the spending skyrockets, nothing ever gets fixed. How many boil water advisories have been lifted in native communities since Trudeau took over? How many have been added. Is clean running water really that difficult a problem to solve. I would think that it is a text book example of a problem that throwing money at should be able to fix 100% of the time. Unless corruption steals it all, that is.
- It doesn't seem like the average native benefits from the ever increasing amounts of money being thrown their way. But they will blindly support their chiefs even if it's to their own detriment. Just like the elbozos support of Carney come to think of it.
- In Alberta, some natives have privately been saying that they actually support Alberta leaving Canada because it would increase their economic prospects, which are a huge issue for that community. But they would never go public with that opinion because they are afraid of their chiefs. This does suggest that a part of the voting block in Alberta might not be able to be honest about their intention to vote leave and might be scewing the polls, assuming they answer polls.
To conclude, this is the problem:
The natives do not have a incoming money problem, they have a corruption problem. Any money thrown at them will disappear. It doesn't matter how much it is, there is no amount that can't be stolen by corruption.
Any money that manages to trickles through to the lower ranks (likely by accident), it will all be wasted on firewater and drugs.
What isn't wasted on firewater and drugs is just wasted in general. I know of a native reservation where every year they get new snowmobiles and every year they leave them parked on the frozen lake come spring and allow then to sink. But I guess if you're just given stuff for free, you don't appreciate it at all. There needs
This is the solution if you care about the natives:
Do an audit of where the money is currently being spent. Also audit what needs to be fixed, such as the water system, buildings, roads, etc.
Pay independent contractors directly to fix the infrastructure. Request that they hire natives to do the work if they can but with 0 tolerance for drug or alcohol us or incompetence on the job.
Never give them money directly for doing nothing. Create a simple system (minimal bureaucracy) that allows them to get their basic necessities met. In this case, housing, heating, and electricity.
If they want anything above that, such as a tv or smartphone, make them work for it in their community. It doesn't have to be back breaking labour, but they need to contribute in some way.
This is the solution if you're indifferent with respect to the natives:
Count how many natives there are and send each of them money directly. You might want to divide it up every 2 weeks so they don't blow their entire yearly budget in a few days.
Provide no further funding or only the most basic services in the community for when most of them inevitably mishandle the money.
The issue with this solution is that most of them are horrible with money. They will waste it. And the ones with firewater and drug problems will likely drink themselves to death or overdose on this system.
This is the solution if you don't care about the nativs:
Do exactly what is being done now. Under this system, you can double the money spent if you want (so you can launder more) or cut it in half to appear to be saving money for the government. It will make no difference to what goes on on the reservation. They will still be failing slums.
If you need some money laundered, propose a native sovereign wealth fund which you will funnel to your hedge fund (call it Brookfield in this example) and use that wealth fund to make you money at the expense of the natives. For example, if you are holding a lot of problematic stock that you have insider information on collapsing soon (if you hold large amounts of a certain stock, you can't just sell it into the market anymore, you need to find a buyer or the price will crash), you can offload it by having this wealth fund buy it and paying off anyone who complains. When wealth fund does poorly, you can go back to the government and have them top it off anyways, so no one important loses any money anyways (except the taxpayers because you hate them).
