Lots of weird signals lately. My bet is...

Trump is expecting an apology. "No amount of subsidies" would apparently keep Cleveland-Cliffs (they already know) from layoffs at Stelco. Carney springs "medium duty truck" exemption at CUSMA walkout.

What does it all add up to? My guess? Ford at Oakville will never finish retooling and reopen (medium duty F350+ trucks, anyone?), Oshawa (gm Silverado HD) is not far behind. CAMI is toast. Brampton is already gone.

Auto manufacturing is toast in Canada, and the news from GM or Ford will break before Halloween.

That's my bet. American industry has given up on Carney ad the LIbs. They will write down their losses and move on.

Ford Oakville has shifts back and are building trucks slowly, I heard. What a racket the layoffs have been there. Everyone's been on unlimited EI for almost two years and with tops ups to make 80% of their wage.

Well, Carney's medium duty carve out could only be about two manufacturers at two plants. He didn't get it, and he wasn't just asking for his, like, health and stuff. My guess is Ford although I understand that is a mostly aluminum body to begin with.

Most of the F-250 and Super Duty trucks are made in Kentucky anyway. Maybe they'll only produce trucks for Canada but that doesn't seem right for a plant that size.

The real economy us normies experience daily is worse than during the 2008 financial crash; yet they’re pumping the opposite on the news and hiking interest rates. Nothing makes sense anymore. Just a coordinated attack on the citizens.

As far as the electorate is concerned Canada's economy is gibs and public employees. Those are still going strong with no tariffs in sight so Canada is good as far as the LPC voter base is concerned.

There is no amount of job losses that would cause even a single liberal to give a damn. Private sector blue collar work is absolutely something the liberal voter is happy to do away with, right up until they need something done but they never think that far ahead.

And not only that, but liberal voters are also really dumb. They will get behind messaging around supporting these workers and being pro business, but their methods drive all the businesses out of town. The prople think they are getting helped voting for these morons but instead end up with no job.
