I would actually like this ending. Europe completely in war with Communists and Fascists fighting each other while Canada keeps talking about some Global Order of Liberals and no one paying any attention except that old hag who ends up having an affair with Carney and Carney's current wife goes psycho and is on the cover of some Lesbian Playboy magazine for old women empowerment while saying she'll give all proceeds she makes from the nude photoshoot to some Free Palestine campaign despite the fact that at this point Iran and Israel are in full-scale war, Taiwan has been invaded and WWIII just started.

All to appease a Chinese EV fantasy who have about 800,000 tons of battery waste to deal with and about 75% of that ending up as a toxic sludge poisoning the planet for centuries.

I went down a rabbit hole and its not looking good. The solution to all of this looks like 15 minute cities to me and the death of the personal automobile.

Can't wait for Canada to be the first country on-board with the idea despite us living in the largest country where 15-minute cities make the least sense. @HuntStevenson Yes but in the Canadian way, what'll happen instead is the Indonesian sister of the wife of some prominent Canadian politician will contract "recycling" work for the sludge in Indonesia to the Canadian government. We'll spend hundreds of millions if not billions ona recycling contract and promote it as the greatest sustainability contract for the entire world. Canadians will pat themselves on the back. 10 years later some journalist will do some expose article on the Indonesian recycling and realize they're just dumping it into the ocean then asking where all the money went? That question will never be answered and then Canadians will elect the same party to power again.
