'We need parents to start helping us': Video shows teen e-motorcycle rider fleeing North Van traffic stop
BC Highway Patrol is releasing video showing a youth fleeing from police on an e-motorcycle in North Vancouver.
"We're big police in powerful cars and can't catch small children on electric scooters"BCHP officer tried to stop an e-motorcycle rider...
However, instead of stopping, the rider sped up through a stop sign to flee police.
"We can't get out own scooters and catch them."
"We don't have the resources to get-em-all"
"Parents, please help us! You should follow your children around all day to make sure they NEVER misbehave. Stupid parents."“Police are trying to keep everyone safe, and we need parents to start helping us out so we can prevent their kids from hurting themselves, or worse.”
BCHP says parents have a responsibility to make sure their kids are being safe.
“Your children might ‘promise’ to ride their machines responsibly and keep off public roads, but that’s not what’s happening.”
And then this epic line...
Lol, the kids will be ok.Police say they have seen an increase in young riders trying to “bait” police into chasing them.
With all the recent e-bike/scooter stories/articles/commentaries in the news/tv/radie these days, you'd think that these are the most dangerous thing to kids ever!
But no, you'd be wrong. Bullying on the internet is the most dangerous thing (even though there are never any news stories)
Online harms now top threat to Canadian children, new report says
