If only side effects were known by the time that shit came to Canada! If only people had been warned by them big mean conspiracy theorists beforehand. If only there were things to read and research before rolling over like a beaten dog. If only.

But it turns out 80% of all people everywhere in this world are easily coerced, easily peer pressured, incapable of individual and critical thought… frankly a danger to any freedom loving society.

I hope it was worth it though for that restaurant meal and hockey game and job and friendship and family get together. I hope that being dead and maimed for life was worth it all.

Cos obviously standing together and saying no and watching it all go up in smoke was too difficult.
 
It was the greatest experiment in human history, and although it obviously wasn't conducted for our benefit its results were still extremely enlightening to those of us who aren't stupid or corrupt: for example, we learned that during any period of ideological fanaticism a sizeable minority of the population, about 20-25%, are the true believers and the enforcers; about 10-15% at most, will passively or actively resist to varying degrees; and the vast majority will grumble a bit but still comply
