I know people are bashing Smith for it, but she seems to be using it is leverage against the federal government government. I also don't mind because I don't think people ready to vote to leave yet. They need a bit more time to get more pissed off.

The people who want to separate have to know if this fails. That's it. They're going to come down hard on Alberta and tell them what to do more than ever because they know they won't leave.

The people of Alberta will get pissed and the federal government can just say you're not going to do anything. So who gives a shit if you're pissed.
