Lagarde Admits It At Davos — Europe’s Post-War Growth Model Is Eroding As US Walks Away From The Globalist Order

Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, told the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council meeting in Geneva on Wednesday that by eroding the post-World War II economic model, the U.S. withdrawal from the so-called “global order” poses a critically important threat to the factor that has built European economic prosperity for almost seven decades.

Lagarde explained that the post-war economic model that spurred European growth was founded on three pillars. The first was the expansion of global trade. The second was the energy supply and the manufacturing infrastructure built around it. The third was a stable, rules-based international order protected by the U.S., which enabled European firms to concentrate on the efficiency of their investments and supply chains to become more integrated, without the concerns of sovereignty and self-sufficiency.

Lagarde said that the global order that Europe relied on is no longer the case, citing geopolitical tensions and the reliance on critical supplies. The analysis is clear: for decades, European elites assumed that the U.S. would remain a steady and unwavering participant in the global order. They criticized American political values while relying on American consumers, American innovation, and American military might. They never addressed the situation where the U.S. would simply exit the post-war arrangement.

The Trump administration is resetting the global order and forcing Europe to confront its past and present failings.

President Trump and team were exactly right that putting America first and no longer taxpayer funding theft and wealth creation for the global banksters is to kick out a critical leg of the stool and they don't like it.

UAE Trade Ban on Iran

The United Arab Emirates has suspended all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran until further notice . UAE-Iran trade has exceeded $28 billion annually, and Dubai has served for decades as Iran’s commercial doorway to the outside world. This is therefore not some symbolic diplomatic protest.

The UAE has severed one of Iran’s most important supply lines while simultaneously placing its own position as the neutral trading center of the Middle East at risk. Politicians never understand trade because they see only goods crossing a border. They do not see the networks of credit, shipping, insurance, currency conversion, warehousing, and personal relationships that can take generations to build and only days to destroy.

The UAE has been Iran’s largest source of non-oil imports, supplying nearly $22 billion in goods during the Iranian year ending in March 2025. Much of this was not produced in the Emirates but entered through its re-export system. Dubai became successful because it served as a bridge between East and West, facilitating trade for countries that could not trade directly due to sanctions. Iranian merchants used Dubai to obtain machinery, electronics, industrial components, and consumer goods, and to access international finance.
The new ban is therefore a financial blockade disguised as a trade regulation. Iran will now be forced to redirect transactions through China, Turkey, Iraq, Oman, Central Asia, cryptocurrencies, barter arrangements, and still more complicated front companies. Trade does not disappear simply because a politician signs an order.

What has Iran provided the banksters for 50 years? What did odumma and cliton set up for Iran/banksters (not that they ever did anything that wasn't for the public good)? Why are they so very upset it is now being blocked?

•Niccolò Machiavelli (in The Prince, Chapter 6) explains that initiating a new order of things—i.e., overcoming the status quo—is exceptionally difficult, uncertain, and dangerous. http://contemporaryquotations.blogs.american.edu
•The core passage (in a common English rendering) is:“It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. Because the innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new. This coolness arises partly from fear of the opponents, who have the laws on their side, and partly from the incredulity of men, who do not readily believe in new things until they have had a long experience of them.”

Can't see any better choices, let alone solutions?
