Speaking to reporters on Sunday afternoon, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt described the incident as an “Islamist terrorist attack.” The attack left one woman killed and 29 people injured or severely injured, he said. Police said none of the injured remained in a life-threatening condition.
The suspect, who police have named as Abdul B., 21, was a German citizen of Lebanese background, Dobrindt said. He was born in Germany in 2005.
