That's not a bubble bursting, that's the USA purposely defunding these things. Unfortunately, the people who benefited from this funding are the tools who're still running our research institutions.

What I mean is the bubble is society discarding these clearly ridiculous, polarizing, and money-wasting ideas. I know not everyone likes current 2026 trump, but his election does seem to have signaled a widespread rejection of wokeshit. In the areas which do allow actual debate and free speech over culture war topics without a chilling effect, these doctrines seem to be generally rejected.

Perhaps in the USA but I feel it's only going to be temporary. I haven't noticed any change at all in Canada. Canadians still want woke BS. I think next election the democrats will get in and they'll double down on woke like you've never seen before.

@CaptainTrouble Canada itself is like a massive political bubble based off buying loyalty for the state project using gibs, both fiscal and as entitlements. The people here don't know anything and the economy is based off a mirage, it'll pop just like America's did if it gets true intellectual freedom.
