Has Canada manufactured anything affordable since the first Sears Catalogues? If the workers need metal, give them cheap Chinese or American steel. If workers need heavy machinery lower the price of importing. All this turning away from the USA and to new trading partners for a Liberal fantasy?
I’m not an economist but I think the Liberal government is damned either way if Trump increases tariffs and sanctions. The U.S. administration is sort of doing to Canada what they were doing to Venezuela starting in ~2015. Specifically because they do not like the Lib or Socialist leaders. I’m okay with this controlled decline as long as the USA is not a declining empire
