“Members responded, located the vehicle driving, initiated their emergency equipment, it pulled over and they arrested three people.”
Two were released and one is in custody.

Asked if a crime had been committed prior to the arrests, leading to a police pursuit, Houghton replied, “No, just a call from a passerby that they believed what they saw was a weapon inside the vehicle.”
“It was mobile and somebody phoned in saying they saw what they thought was a weapon in the vehicle,” he said. “Just a call from a passerby.
