Labour are pulling the same move as the Liberals did last year: replace an unpopular leftist with another leftist who is popular for the time being because he hasn't done any real damage yet. More specifically, the purpose of the northerner Andy Burnham, who deliberately cultivates a blokey persona (along the lines of "I love a good pie with me pint") is to reassure regional working-class voters that the Labour party isn't actually just dominated by diversity-obsessed bureaucrats from north London. Of course, even if Burnham becomes PM the Labour party will still be run by diversity-obsessed bureaucrats from north London

yeah, I feel like the problem is far too entrenched in the Yookay to simply have an electoral change and fix it at this point. Until there are Irish riots in downtown london burning out the banking sector led by hundreds of white anglo lads, not a thing is going to change about the "immigration problem" killing the country
 
He's done every time they pull this family bullshit means they're going to quit but it's not going to make a difference there.

The problem is the people in UK will see this as a win and may slow down on pushing back but it's not a win not even a small one.

The British government know that if they back down on their authoritarian globohomo agenda their own time at the taxpayer-funded gravy train will be finally at an end, so they have no choice but to double down and try repressive measures to enforce a worldview that the majority of their (native) people is already deeply uncomfortable with.

In a homogenous society the arrogance of the ruling class paves the way for rebellion or even revolution, but the UK is so ethnically divided at this point that the ruling class will probably deploy their migrant pets against the indigenous population before ever allowing their privileged positions to be toppled
