Ontario Premier Doug Ford insists he’s been “jammed meeting everyone” in Washington, D.C., after an event at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce he had planned to host was cancelled “after scheduling conflicts arose.

The premier headed down to the United States Capitol on Monday and Tuesday for a series of meetings, although he hasn’t met with anyone from the Trump administration.

As part of the trip, Ford had intended to hold a reception event at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to network and drum up support for his Fortress North America vision, an idea he has been pushing in some form since U.S. President Donald Trump was first elected.
