Peel school pushed pro-Hijab book on elementary kids
Parent says school newsletter obscured the book’s religious focus and questions whether five-year-olds can critically understand religious and cultural symbolism.
When they’re not grooming them to be trans, they’re grooming them to submit. An elementary school participated in a Peel board school-wide read-aloud of “The Proudest Blue,” a children’s book celebrating a young girl’s first experience wearing a hijab.
A parent who contacted Juno News said they are concerned children as young as five were introduced to what they described as highly politicized and religiously loaded symbolism through discussions of “identity,” “belonging,” and “empathy,” without parents being clearly informed beforehand.
The parent asked to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals. They said they have not raised the issue with the school because they fear it “may negatively affect” their child.
