...the claim had no reasonable prospect of success...

...the federal government does not owe a private duty of care to individual members of the public when making broad public health decisions during a pandemic. Instead, such decisions are made in the interest of the population as a whole, often requiring difficult trade-offs that may carry risks for some individuals.

...there were no material facts showing that government officials acted in bad faith or knowingly engaged in unlawful conduct that would likely cause harm...

...the lawsuit supported the conclusion that the vaccine was highly effective...

...allowing Hartman’s case to proceed could have broader consequences, including discouraging governments from making urgent public health decisions...

...the law does not support holding the federal government liable...

The next time they do this, I will leave, like Viva Frei. This is a totalitarian regime.

The red line for me is the Native bullshit. As soon as they say I don't actually own my home, I'm outta here. But if there's another "pandemic" it'll be just as bad in every other country as it is here, so leaving will be pointless

Yes but him in his whole family got the shot so they could leave. Also being as he makes his living in front of a camera he can live anywhere and move his job very easily.

People have to remember the US also had States had insane lockdowns it just wasn't Canada. I mean unfortunately it was every single province here was no escape here like you could go to Florida and basically live normal.

In short, do not listen/obey. Fight them every step of the way. A day in court would more likely be seen once they start using force vs coercion.

Why the fuck did he get it? nobody forced him to guessing he wanted to play hockey.

"the federal government does not owe a private duty of care to individual members of the public"

Truer words were never inadvertently spoken, and we should always remember them. The population of Canada is entirely made up of "individual members of the public", but the government seems to be suggesting that there is some kind of abstract Platonic ideal of Canada that exists beyond the paltry existence of mere individuals -- something often described as "the common good" -- and that it's acceptable to sacrifice the latter for the sake of this ideal.

It's very reminiscent of the old Communist claim that "you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs", except that the eggs number in the tens of thousands and no omelette is ever produced

I forged a vaccine passport. I didn't even notice any COVID restrictions at all. Also, I noticed high-end establishments (rich people places) never ever checked or cared about COVID-19 at all so when I went out, I just went out to rich people establishments and never ran into a problem.

Knowing now how rampant immigration and mortgage fraud are, forging a covid passport was clearly the Canadian way to handle the problem. I just despise lying, guess I need to get over that.
