A little under five months after the federal government lifted moratoriums on installing new community mailboxes, Canada Post is moving ahead with eliminating door-to-door mail delivery in Canada.

90% of what I receive from Canada Post is flyers. The most expensive flyer delivery on the planet. My youngest used to deliver flyers. He would have been in heaven if he was getting paid the same as the CP delivery guys/gals.

I check my mailbox like once a month bless that postal workers heart my god do they stuff those damn flyers into that box.

When getting your mail watch for Joggers. My neighbourhood when we see a jogger we know they dont belong and as of late joggers are all over checking out our homes. Homes in my area are anywhere from 750 000 to millions of dollars. Lots of homes getting hit as of late. I suspect i will never get mail ever again via the mailbox system as the thieves hit the mailboxes setup for some of the new multi unit builds in our neighbourhood already. my best chance of getting my mail securely is my mailbox on my home.

i am not sure how to proceed from here if this occurs. The system is failing all of us.

If they do want to do this seriously just do delivery 2 days a fucking week and call it a day.

Kind of funny though the postal workers now will do less work and still demand more pay and benefits and demend everyone is full time.

My brother-in-law delivered mail for a little bit and he was only a contractor coincidentally though his route was in his neighborhood so he would finish his route in like 2 hours go home and go to sleep and then get back up and go back in.

I would agree except making mail delivery a part time gig will make it a Tim Horton’s tier TFW job. I’d hate to see the jeet swarm increased. Sorting is a high functioning task as you can see when African ladies who grew up without refrigeration pack your costco bag.

My Mom is a manager at a post office. She says regular Canadians are a miserable lot and that the indian males and females from india are so much nicer. She prefers to work with them.

On the phone recently she asked me how my kids liked their gifts for Christmas. We arent allowed to visit them as we arent vaxxed so she sends the gifts to feel better about herself.

I told her the boys didnt even open them which is true. They looked at me that day and asked me if they could open the gifts and i told em it was up to them but i wasnt. It was time to stop pretending things will change for the better and to accept we will never see them again. Why keep up the sharad. All my kids have yet to open those gifts. They sit in a box waiting for a signal. The signal that the war is over that life can go back to normal. I told my mom on the phone we only will open them the day we can be together again in person. She told me to get vaxxed.

I hung up on her and my dad who just listens and says very little now.

Well Denmark is effectively getting rid of their post office, although still half assing it, so we might as well admit we can't do it and shitcan it too.
