So they had a 14-week Christmas Break, and now they go back to work until June 4th when they go on summer break, how is this even a real job?

I've known a few of them, including the director, and they definitely lean that way. Mind you that's par for the course for the profession as a whole.

The less the government does, the better. The problem is there are too many laws on the books to begin with. They need to be in session to start removing more laws.

This is why so many people aspire to be politicians. Very good salary paid for by us, massive time off paid for by us, mileage/lunches/conferences paid for by us, cushy pension forever paid for by us. Its insane. It’s basically welfare except you go to a place to hang out with your buddies for a few weeks a year and make decisions you’re unqualified to make.
