Does a "independent" polling company say these things?

I've always liked the idea of "populists" being a bad thing in a democracy. So, are you pro Democracy or anti-democracy? Of course, PP isn't a populist. Populism is just a meaningless term thrown around that somehow has a negative connotation to it for "pro-democracy" leftists. (Democracy as long as everyone votes exactly how I want them to). PP is the same ineffective "liberal light" conservative politician that Canada always has. The problem with PP is that he's not a significant enough counter to the liberals. Canada does not mean free healthcare for everyone, nor does it mean anyone from anywhere can immigrate here, nor does it mean anti-Trump or pro-Israel. If PP actually had any intention of being a healthy counterbalance, he could offer something different. Leftists are so out of touch they don't even realize their opposition (PP), is virtually identical to them.

I remember back in the early 90s when the Reform Party started floating the idea of holding ongoing referendums for important issues facing Canadians and leftists were absolutely fucking livid about it, using that same word "populist" (i.e., responsiveness to the wishes of the ignorant and unwashed masses) as a pejorative adjective. It proved the truth of the cynical saying "if voting actually changed anything, they wouldn't let us do it".

Despite the effect that relentless ideological brainwashing has had on most of the public -- and it is far worse now than it was 35 years ago -- our rulers know that most people are unhappy with the overall decline of society and if given the chance to vote on an issue-by-issue basis several times per year, rather than for or against particular political parties once or twice every decade, they would absolutely sabotage the agenda to destroy the West
