Canadians are on edge, I have felt it at work, out and about in public.

Why, you ask?

Because they are afraid they will lose the big hockey game TO TEAM USA in the Olympics!!!

It's already bad enough that the women lost to those horrible Americans who are totally not like us at all because we are superior Canadian folk!!

I just can't anymore. This whole place is going to shit and all I hear about is stupid childrens' games being played by multi-millionaires. Listen, I used to be a huge hockey fan. I get it. But there's real shit going on right now that should be our primary focus.

If you engage in:

Canadian smugness/resentment toward all things 'American'.

Giving a shit about professional sports.

Ostracizing family and friends over personal medical decisions.

Expecting 'your fair share' from government programs in the future (CPP/OAS/etc).

yesterday i was in a customer's house when the hockey was on and dude was all fucking excited about that...its always a fine line for me to not be an asshole to the customers at the best of times, but it was all i could do to be polite enough about something idgaf about ever.

i really wished these motherfuckers cared a lil more about the state of our country than they do about the bread and circus bullshit, but i cant make them. its quite depressing.
