Yeah, the US has only like 1000 National Guard members so it's only logical that he can clean one city at a time.

I kind of had a bus incident myself today, but it de-escalated very nicely.

I rode the bus down to Port Credit for the South Side Shuffle as I was going to have some drinks down there. I am ex infantry, have a buzz cut, and wear cargo pants supplied from work which uses Logistics Unicorp just like the coppers and the army do. Oh, and I always wear steel toed shoes too, just in case.

Anyway, I get on the bus and sit with my back to the wall on a side seat and right away notice two black people staring down a homeless weirdo sitting in the front side seats, the handicap seats. This guy is mouthing words and being very creepy towards a very young hijab wearing muslim girl and her grandma.

So... I stared this guy down myself. Didn't say a word, but didn't stop looking until he stopped being a creep and moved to the back of the bus. I then watched until the grandma and child got off the bus and made sure he didn't follow.

Long story short, yes, never let your guard down in public, don't turn your back on wild animals, and have full awareness of what's going on. For me, when shit is happening it's a rush like the good ole' days, so I'm happy to help out if I can.

By the way, veterans ride the GO bus/train for free, and if you link your presto card to a veteran fare, your connecting rides are free too as long as you include GO in your travel plans. I managed to travel to Port Credit and back (with short diversions to Long Branch and Clarkson), had a free hotdog, popcorn, and a drink... all for free... aside from the few beers I had down there watching some free live music.

I worked at a moving company as a summer job during college. One day we had a temp worker who was a huge black guy. Within 30 seconds I could tell he was unhinged and I just sensed he was trouble and so I made sure to a stay far away from him.

Later that day, word spread that he beat the shit out of another worker who had to be hospitalized.

Not all black people are like that, but there are some who you can just tell are ready to snap at a moments notice.

After my family came to Canada we lived in a couple of sketchy areas in the suburban GTA, and I ended up routinely hanging out with black kids in both places. I did like their honesty and earthiness and they could be very funny at times -- in that way they were like working-class Celts -- but they are definitely far more volatile than whites (even the Irish!) and very touchy about race.
