Analogous to a drunk who says to himself, if I cut back a bit, I'm fine. I'm still in control. I think for many Canadians they're beyond reach. Economic collapse will only make them double down on TDS even if/when the Democrats are back in power. It's like people on r/toronto who still blame Mike Harris for all their problems, and pretend the fifteen years of McGunity/Wynne didn't happen.
