Hardly surprising, look at what is over reported. Drug overdose, murder, terrorism, all shocking events that grab people's attention. Remember the old saying, "If it bleeds it leads." The news is just like any other form of entertainment now, they just want to get bums in seats, or eyes on screens, that's how they make their money.
