All of the testing, paperwork, hassles, what-ifs, etc have made the process of traveling so unappealing at this point.

I've pretty much just resigned to just road tripping by car. It's a lot more peaceful.

Fuck negotiating with trying to participate in the system.

For me it will just be "these aren't the droids you're looking for" through my car window and hope the other person is still fostering a shred of compassion and sanity.

The flying experience has always been shit. You have to waste hours/days getting ready. You have to drive minutes/hours to the airport and spend more minutes looking for a place to park and spend more minutes figuring out how to pay for parking then drag your bullshit luggage miles away to the airport. Cabbing is easier cause they drop you right at the front saving you a couple minutes, but has the hassle of relying on a cab to pick you up on time. You have to show up hours before your flight, you have to wait in 30 lines and be searched. You have to serpentine between other shitty people dragging your shitty luggage around like a fucking lemming. Nothing about flying is enjoyable. All you do is waste time to jam yourself in a small space full of people you don't give a shit about while being interrogated, searched and sent through cattle runs. AND THEN DO IT AGAIN ON THE WAY HOME. What about this experience is good or enjoyable? All so you can brag about going to a third world shit hole when you get back at work?
