Despite skyrocketing Canadian dissatisfaction with immigration rates, NDP leadership hopeful Avi Lewis has just proposed restoring immigration numbers to their post-COVID highs, and re-opening the borders to millions of potential asylum-seekers from the United States.
In an interview with the immigrant-centric publication New Canadian Media, Lewis advocated for the mass-amnesty of temporary migrants and the importation of “many more” international students.

Lewis also called for an end to the Safe Third Country Agreement with the U.S., which would allow anyone in the United States to claim asylum in Canada.

“Immigrants are part of the solution, not the cause of problems,” Lewis said.
Right on time, NDP on scene to make LPC look centrist. The politics in this country are just too retarded.

border_humperAnd he's the "moderate" candidate. And as a bonus when he wins you'll see his commuunist wife Naomi Klein everywhere he goes and spouting her bolshevik bullshit. The guy is a third generation political nepo baby.

I didn’t realize he was married to Naomi Klein. Every single time meme; all so tiresome meme.

Yeah, they're the insufferable "power couple" of the Canadian left, both from wealthy and prominent families who lecture the rest of us on how selfish we are for wanting to keep more of our own money and keep this country viable with borders and other mean stuff. She's been an insufferable shrew since she was the editor of the U of T paper The Varsity when I was there and spoke out against the needed rebuilding of the main drag through the campus - which still looks great thirty-odd years later - and called it "gentrification". Their constituency are tenured morons and resentful losers.

Avram David Lewis was born in May 1967 in Toronto, Ontario, where he was raised. Lewis is the great-grandson of Moishe Lewis, an outspoken member of the Jewish Bund who left Svislach, Poland, after being interrogated by the Russians and threatened with death or imprisonment for his political activity.
