Canada offers international tourists free visitation to national parks while Trump adds $100 surcharge for foreign visitors

Both countries are revered for national parks with breathtaking views, but this summer Canada and the United States are taking drastically different approaches to welcoming foreign visitors to their most beloved natural wonders.

It's true. If you look at the hospitality industry and measure occupancy throughout the year in all the areas to attempt to measure number of tourists visiting places every year then plot forest fires, you'll see a direct correlation between places with lots of tourists and the number of forest fires even when you control for population.

Basically, tourists (foreigners) are far more likely to start forest fires than locals which makes intuitive sense because foreigners simply don't care about the places they visit compared to the people who live there.

The best forest fire reduction plan Canada could have would be to stop letting in tourists and especially the non-White ones.

I like to go to a park near Calgary here. Used to be a really great place if you go during the week it's still okay but my God I went one weekend holy shit was fucking Jeets everywhere.

I'm not going to lie that shit just made me fucking depressed.

It's very sad. Many Canadians are going to grow up without ever knowing what it was like to go to the beach or park where there were only White people around. All White people's countries are being ruined.

This in combination with the Jeets Get In Free pass or whatever it is called in Ontario is a disaster for our natural resources.

Last summer I was pretty deep in a provincial park fly fishing and two carloads of jeets rolled up 20 meters away from where I was fishing and started throwing huge rocks in the water. They took a bunch of selfies and then immediately left. It should have cost them 2x carload fees which are used to keep up maintenance in our parks but because it’s free for them they just get to come and go as they please. So annoying.
