City council has voted against a proposal to look at alternative locations for affordable housing in a west Edmonton community after a tense public hearing on Wednesday, which was spurred by a judicial review.

Edmonton gives prime land to Treaty 8 First Nations for 1 dollar. Land was used for the community for the kids.

Community has valid reasons to protest but the city council they voted for is over ruling everyone that opposes the cities agenda. Even a judge ruled that the 1 dollar land sale was invalid
