Do any of you use your phone like this?? Is this desirable?

No.

Looks like they are gonna bake AI in to the new phones. Will people who use AI begin to dwarf people who dont in terms of their ability to accomplish all things faster and with more precision. In the infowar will we be able to out maneuver hostile forces if we dont figure out how to do so by refusing to using AI. I cant even think of how AI can be utilized to accomplish retarded things faster let alone useful things. I feel that a major shift in how all things work and how we accomplish things is coming that will shift the political landscape or human landscape in ways we cant predict or see yet

Its kinda scary and feels weird / bad.

Did you end up getting a Pixel and putting GrapheneOS on it?
Got a pixel 10 recently and slapping GOS on it like I did my older pixel. The 10 is supposed to 'the' AI phone, but I wouldn't know it.

They'll be unable to accomplish simple tasks without AI. They will be far worse off.

@ovarieasy no i never ended up going that way. I got frustrated and just did my best to degoogle my current phone by disabling all things google.

I was looking at getting a pinephone with the hardware switches to turn off the camera and microphone. They sell out fast.

@d01tg0d0wn I have a 6a running graphene. It's 3 years old, used daily and I'm still getting 4 days of battery life. I got a 8a which I intended to put graphene on when the 6a battery degrades, but I haven't taken it out of the box.

the only possible gripe about graphene is a lack of wallet, which technically I understand why they can't do it, and I wouldn't put payment info into it, but sucks to have to use someone else's phone to load ticketmaster tickets to events like hockey.

graphene is a bit more manual than regular android OSs but the tradeoff for privacy is worth IMO

Well today we can go a hundred miles in a few hours where it took our ancestors a day to go 20 or 30, but we use a car and they walked, how many people today could walk 30 miles a day every day? What I'm saying is that these AI augmented phone users may be able to do things faster with their phone, but take away their phone and they're fucked. Also is faster stupidity really so much more dangerous as good old fashioned stupidity?
