Officials with a southern Alberta junior hockey team have announced the deaths of three players in a Monday crash.

Athletes spend more time on the road in large vehicles than almost anyone else, so they're more likely to be involved in these kinds of accidents. It's that simple.

Would love to understand the circumstances of this - for those that aren't familar, Hwy 2 is a twinned highway and Stavely is a good hour+ outside of Calgary, so it's not usually very congested.
